Damian Warner

Damian is a 32 years old, from London, ON. He was raised by a single mom who couldn’t afford organized sports. Damian attended Montcalm High school and his English teacher and basketball coach, Gar Leyshon, saw the potential for this amazing but quiet student. Damian is a 9 time Canadian Champion. He is the Canadian, Pan Am and Commonwealth Games record holder in the decathlon. Damian has won medals at 3 World Championships and 2 Olympics, as well as winning the Pan Am and Commonwealth Games.Damian won gold at the 2021 Olympics and became only the 4th man ever to go over 9000 points in the decathlon. He was chosen as our Canadian flag bearer for the closing ceremonies. Damian was inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame in 2021 as well as a winner of the Lou Marsh award for Canada’s greatest athlete.
