Tara Foxcroft

Bluefish Learning
Co-Flounder
Edmonton, Alberta
Tara has a passion for literacy that started at a young age. Tara’s parents read to her growing up. She was surrounded by books, magazines, and newspapers in her childhood home. As a parent of three children (now adults), Tara started reading to her children from the moment they were born and she continues to be an avid reader. As a teacher of multiple grades (K-9) and a literacy intervention teacher, Tara has worked tirelessly to instil an appreciation for reading in her students. The dream of getting the right books into the hands of readers, with the right support, so that they will read regularly with a deeper level of engagement and joy, has been growing inside of Tara for many years….now, the mission of Bluefish Learning, is to help make that happen. Tara has served students of all ages in a variety of ways, including as a classroom teacher, literacy intervention specialist, literacy coach, teacher librarian and tutor. Since co-founding Bluefish Learning Ltd. Tara has enjoyed the challenges and rewards of sharing her passion for literacy with the Bluefish team and customers.
