Brianne Burritt

Imagine Institute for Learning
Facilitator, Curriculum Developer
Edmonton
Brianne joined our Imagine team in 2021 and comes to us with over ten years of experience as an educator. Brianne taught in junior and senior high schools, and has also worked with adult learners in non-traditional settings. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Secondary Education, both from the University of Alberta, and specialized in teaching English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Psychology. Brianne is passionate about empowering others through education. She prioritizes promoting mental health awareness, strengthening social-emotional learning opportunities, and incorporating a lens of anti-oppression in her work. She is engaged in ongoing personal and professional learning on child and brain development, and Truth and Reconciliation. Connecting with people makes Brianne happy, so she is grateful to have the opportunity to engage with past, present, and potential clients over Imagine’s social media platforms. Brianne lives on Treaty 6 territory in Edmonton and is a proud mama to a busy toddler. When she isn’t running around a playground or reading “just one more” bedtime story, she enjoys watching hockey and patronizing the local arts scene.
