heather.bartling@wrsd.ca
Heather Bartling is in fifth year as Vice Principal, Athletic Director and PE teacher at Frank Maddock High School in Drayton Valley, Alberta. Prior to jumping into administration, Heather was an Athletic Director and PE teacher for 13 years in Bonnyville, Alberta. Heather is currently the Sportsmanship Commissioner for the Alberta Schools Athletic Association and has also served as an Executive Member for the ASAA in the past. She is one of the forces behind the ASAA Impact Student Leadership Workshop that is put on annually for student athletes across Alberta to help build their leadership skills and impact their own schools. Her passion is student leadership and character building in all areas of sport and education. When she is not busy with work and her work for the ASAA and the CIAAA, Heather spends time with her husband Aaron who is a City of Edmonton Firefighter and her two kids Barrett (15) and Kaia (13) who make her think every day that she must have done something right in a past life to have been blessed with the two of them.
