Last year there was the Covid Lag - Now the time is right for Covid Catch Up. This session is for teachers searching for math games and activities that are suitable for Grades 4-6 students to use to help them acquire or re-acquire the understanding and competence they lost due to the year of Covid. Specifically, the games will focus on Adding and Multiplying Fact Fluency as well as multi-digit addition, subtraction and multiplication. Mental math practice strategies will also be highlighted throughout the session. The games require nothing more than simple cards and dice found in most schools and homes. An extensive handout with game rules, game boards and assessment tools will be available online for download before, during and after the workshop making it easy for teachers to quickly and effortlessly implement what they've learned back in their classrooms. Last year there was the Covid Lag - Now the time is right for Covid Catch Up.
