Did you know that Canada was not only the first country to join NASA and committed to building automation and robotics for the Lunar Gateway, but also will be sending the FIRST Canadian to orbit the moon in 2023 as part of the Artemis II mission?! So how are we going to get that maple leaf on the Moon and even Mars one day? We are going to start building future astronauts, scientists, explorers and engineers in your classroom right now! Come and meet space nerd and STEM teacher, Amanda Green, and learn all about Canada's role in space exploration and some hand's on activities you can do in your classroom next week! She will share her SPARK for space, her many resources (not just for grade 6 & 9), and will give you ideas for your science and technology classes that will make your students over the moon excited! Amanda primarily focuses on Junior High (both in English and French), but has many ideas you can use with students of all ages.
