Join Caleb Wesley (Moose Cree) and Gael James (settler) as they explore Indigenizing Mathematics. Referencing Goulet & Goulet’s 2014 Model of Effective Teaching for Indigenous Students, Bob Joseph’s RESPECT model (2019), and traditional Tipi Pole Teachings, we intend to bring Indigenous understandings into the math classroom. Leave this session with a framework for Indigenizing your math classroom.
