Evidence shows that we should teach and model SEL skills as it increases positive attitudes, behaviours, and performance. This presentation will explore the why and how questions related to teaching SEL competencies; When do we teach these SEL competencies? How do we teach these skills? What do we teach? What are the fundamental skills? This engaging, strategy based presentation will provide an overview of the benefits of SEL and classroom based strategies to introduce to young learners.
