Deliberate Self-Injury continues to be a major issues among adolescents and children. With the stress and anxiety resulting from the pandemic, incidents have increased dramatically, while many parents and teachers still struggle to understand the reasoning behind these actions. This session will explore myths that exist about self-harm, barriers to seeking help and how to address the issue from a community standpoint. By working with students, staff and parents the hope is to find ways to reduce the occurence of this negative coping strategy.
