Colleen Nelson

Archbishop Jordan
Cosmetology Teacher
Hello, my name is Colleen Nelson.  I am a Cosmetology teacher in Sherwood Park, AB., and a 30+ year licensed journeyman hairstylist.
I am also the chair of the Hairstyling committee for Skills Alberta.  I have been working with students for 10+ years as an educator and coach.
I have trained and mentored students for skills at the junior, intermediate, and senior levels. I have attended Nationals in person and have mentored our
Post-Secondary students in their final training move on to the National level. Skills competitions have been a long-time passion of mine, and it
is such a pleasure to work with students in the training process. I truly look forward to spending time with educators to feel more confident and truly enjoy
the coaching/mentoring process.
